Brandon Kaplowitz

I recently graduated from NYU with a PhD in Economics. My job market paper is "Reinforcement Learning and Consumption Savings Behavior". I focus on using novel approaches from deep and reinforcement learning to rigorously model, understand, and predict the behavior of agents in socioeconomic settings.

My Current Interests

My work combines theoretical and empirical methods to address macroeconomic and microbehavioral questions.  I am interested in better modeling the behavioral responses of agents to understand the responses of agents to government policy and how economic crises and shocks emerge and evolve.
